Sailor Messier 46

Sooooo I hadn't even realized there was a Messier senshi group since I have been so on/off (quickly) of deviantart and haven't been checking journals/anything really other than notes, nor did I realize there was a deadline lol! (Thank you so much for letting me know Toto! <3)... So I had some ideas for my 46 but didn't realize I had a deadline! But since I was reminded yesterday I got my butt in gear and just sketched it out! So this is not a final piece more of a reference sheet.

On Wikipedia it describes M46 as "very bright, very rich, very large" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_… which I saw after I sketched her and that's when I knew I was happy with her design. I really wanted to make a non-stick skinny senshi because that is usually what I draw when I don't draw Sailor Moon stuff. So I gave her some curves. I wanted to give her red hair because it was different... I saw there were a lot of purples and blue colors with the other Messiers so I wanted to do something that was a little different... I am not sure if I am 100% with how I put the colors together but it works for now. I love the peach color, but I am not sold completely on the yellow gloves...

I know I usually do 50's retro scouts but I wanted to draw my hand at a more 20's flapper style of scout. I have to say I am super happy with how it turned out!

And she is bright, large and rich appearing!

And I wanted to give her glasses just 'cuz...

So yeah, maybe when I have more time & have finished my art trade/chibis I will work on a more finished piece for her.
